What is a custom domain?
A custom domain is a unique domain name that links readers to your email newsletter, eg http://newsletter.ourcompany.com, each succcessive issue will be counted as fresh content for your website, helping your organic search engine visibility.

Steps to use a Custom Domain

Step 1
You must first own a domain name or choose a sub-domain. If your company already owns a domain name you may wish to setup a sub-domain name for your newsletter. The following examples illustrate the sub-domain names generally used by Newsweaver customers.

  • news.example.com
  • newsletter.example.com
  • publicationname.example.com

Step 2
Email support@newsweaver.com with the domain name or custom domain name you have chosen and we will configure your account accordingly.

Step 3
You will need to have your DNS provider configure this domain name's DNS with a CNAME record pointing to go.newsweaver.ie  Once this has been done it may take up to 72 hours before your newsletter will appear at this address. The length of time this takes is out of our control.

Newsweaver does not apply any additional fees for implementing custom domains.
